I think it's safe to safe to say that no one enjoys feeling stressed and insecure. However, our culture is structured in a way that molds us into ignoring our needs, cultivating perfectionist tendencies and fighting continuous self-sabotage. It took me a long time, and lots of tough decisions before I found a way to manage my own stress and overcome insecurities--and I am still learning every day! My journey started with the desire to release judgment of others and myself. While it was easier to be nice to others, I found it difficult to be nice to myself. I had a poor diet, I ignored obvious signs of illness, I worked to the point of burnout, and I consistently put others before me. I never felt like I could maintain and finish personal projects. I was getting sicker every year, and found myself always preparing for the next disaster.

Today, I am quite different from my past self, although I love her dearly. I met a wonderful therapist and wellness coach; and eventually, I fell in love with esoteric study and mystic arts. Realizing that my "flaws" could become strengths, when used appropriately, defined my desire for self-love. My support system taught me to remove unnecessary baggage, and slow down long enough to appreciated life's fleeting pleasures. I learned mindfulness. I learned to see from a higher perspective, and to maintain healthy habits. I learned to have patience and persevere even if I made a mistake. Through mindfulness practices, I learned the meaning of resilience. I learned to appreciate life's challenges as valuable wisdom and to savor feelings of victory like I savor an ice cream on a summer day. Along my journey, I have acquired life-altering tools for maintaining mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. I want to share these tools with those who want the same out of life.

I developed Seeker of Integration while navigating my personal journey of lifelong depression, anxiety, and poor self-esteem. To integrate means to combine two or more parts so that they become one. Loving both our light and our shadow is integration. To be fully integrated is to radiate self-acceptance and love for all forms of life--even life in the shadow. Existing in love is not easy, but I am up for the challenge. Are you?

Sending you peace and love,
